Jessie J has revealed that she "won't miss" being a judge on The Voice.

The It's My Party singer announced she wouldn't be returning for a third series of the BBC singing contest along with The Script's Danny O'Donoghue, and hosts Holly Willoughby and Reggie Yates.

"I won't miss it. Not in a bad way, just that it's time for someone else to have a go," she said.

The 25-year-old announced she was quitting the show in July, so she can focus on her music.

"I can't wait to promote my new record around the world and that has to take priority. I shall be keeping a very close eye on series three, showing my support in every way I can, and really hope that in some way I can be part of the show," she said in a statement.

Jessie, whose full name is Jessica Ellen Cornish, said she would still support the programme.

"I will still go back and see them, but I can't sit there telling singers that I'm a successful artist if I'm available to film a TV series for half the year," she continued.

She has only praise for the show, which raised her TV profile, adding: "It's easily the biggest break I've had, and so many more people who wouldn't know my music now know who I am. It worked perfectly."

Jessie - whose second album Alive is out now, and whose UK tour begins on October 15 - has been replaced by Australian pop star Kylie Minogue, while Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson will take Danny's seat on the panel alongside Sir Tom Jones and Will.i.am.

JLS singer Marvin Humes and Big Brother presenter Emma Willis will host the show, which will begin in January 2014.
