A van was set on fire in Roundshaw Village last night.
Firefighters from Wallington fire station were called to Olley Close at about 11.40pm on Friday, July 19, and said the van was “100 per cent alight” when they arrived.
The crew were able to put out the fire within 10 minutes and said there was no source of ignition that they were able to see.
A Wallington firefighter said they believed the fire had been started deliberately.
