Radio station volunteers are trying to raise over £3,000 to build a studio in Battersea.
Wandsworth Radio is turning to crowd-funding in order to buy broadcast equipment for a studio in Battersea, above the Oasis charity shop.
BBC radio presenter Jason Rosam is helping the team
The community radio station has been pod-casting news reports made by volunteer journalists during weekly news programmes.
They hope to provide daily local news for Wandsworth, along with other programmes, 24 hours a day.
The station’s team is offering rewards for individuals and local businesses, who donate to the studio, including free sponsorship and advertising opportunities.
BBC London 94.9 radio presenter Jason Rosam is helping volunteers from across Wandsworth to set up the station and said: "I believe Wandsworth Radio is a great project that will benefit volunteers and people from across the borough.
"It will celebrate our incredible part of London, provide opportunities for those who want to build a career in the media and foster relationships between our diverse communities."
