Police were called to a report of two explosions near Hackbridge yesterday night.
Officers were told that two explosions had been heard at an industrial estate off Wood Street, Mitcham.
They arrived to find a Ford Transit and a caravan on fire in a gated area. Both were badly damaged by the flames.
A fire crew from Mitcham arrived at 9.16pm to put out the fire.
Police are treating the fire as suspicious. Anyone with information should call Sutton police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
