Huge plumes of smoke filled the sky after a fire broke out in a car storage yard near Purley Way in Croydon on Saturday morning (June 24).
A spokesperson for the London Fire Brigade said eight cars were completely destroyed in the fire, while 35 cars were partially damaged.
LFB were called at 8.46am.
Four fire engines and 21 fire fighters attended and the fire is now under control.
Firefighters from Croydon, Wallington and Norbury fire stations were at at scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
