A 40-year-old man has been taken to hospital after being slashed in the head near to a graveyard in Wandsworth.
The incident happened at Garratt Lane Old Burial ground just before 7.20am today (March 20).
Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and found a man with a slash injury to his head.
He was taken to hospital for treatment where his condition was assessed as not life-threatening.
No arrests have been made as police enquiries continue.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police arrived on scene at 07:21hrs on Wednesday, 20 March to reports of a stabbing.
“Officers attended and found a 40-year-old man with a slash injury to his head.
“He arrived at hospital where he was treated for non life-threatening injuries.
“There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.
“Anyone with information is asked to call police via 101 quoting reference CAD 1141/20Mar.”
A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 6:25 this morning (March 20) to reports of a head injury on Garratt Lane, SW18.
“We dispatched an ambulance crew to the scene.
“We treated a patient at the scene before taking them to a major trauma centre.”
