A 20-year-old man was arrested in Tooting after an alleged attempted rape.
Police were alerted at around 2.50am on April 14 after a woman reported an incident on Tooting Common.
The woman is now receiving support from specialist officers.
A man was arrested on suspicion of attempted rape and remains in police custody.
Police have confirmed that the investigation is ongoing.
The authorities are calling for any witnesses to the incident to step forward and contact them quoting reference number CAD931/14Apr.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “An investigation is under way after police received a report of an attempted rape in Tooting.
“Police were called at around 2.50am on Sunday, 14 April after the incident on Tooting Common.
“The woman who reported the incident is being supported by specialist officers.
“A 20-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted rape and remains in police custody.
“Any witnesses are asked to call police on 101 or ‘X’ @MetCC and quote CAD931/14Apr.
“You can also provide information anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
