A man who was taken to hospital following a stabbing in Croydon has now been arrested.
Police were called to reports of a stabbing in North End yesterday (Monday) at 5.20pm.
Emergency services attended the scene and found a man with a stab wound to the leg.
He was taken to hospital for treatment where he remains.
His condition has been assessed as not life-threatening.
Today (May 14), police confirm that he has since been arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and handling stolen goods.
Crime scenes have now been closed.
A Met Police spokesperson said: "Police were called to North End, Croydon at about 5.20pm on Monday May 13 following reports of a stabbing. Officers and LAS attended and found a man suffering with a stab wound to the leg.
"He was taken to hospital for treatment where he remains. HIs condition was later assessed as not life-threatening. He has been arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and handling stolen goods.
"Crime scenes have now been closed.
“The investigation is being led by South Area CID."
