Christmas treats have already appeared on the shelves in Sutton, even though September has only just begun.
The festive season has slowly but surely begun at Sainsbury’s in Wallington.
On Sunday, September 1, shoppers were surprised to find many displays dedicated to Christmas treats.
Among the seasonal items were mince pies, Stollen cake slices and Christmas pudding.
In another aisle in the store stood a Kinder chocolate display, with snowmen and Santa Claus.
The Kinder section also advertised a QR Code for children to receive “free customised video messages from Santa”.
In the Dairy Milk section stood packets of Mint Snow Balls and Winter Wonderland chocolate bars.
There were even Maltesers' snowy Mint Chocolate Reindeers on display.
The mince pies even have a best-before date of November 7, which is almost 50 days before Christmas Day.
Despite the upcoming Halloween season, no Halloween-related products were seen in the store.
As of September 2, Christmas Day is 114 days away.
