All traffic has stopped on the M25 due to a "serious" lorry fire, causing severe delays in the area.
The fire broke out on the M25 clockwise between J5 Sevenoaks and J6 Godstone at around 1.30am today (September 20).
National Highways confirmed on X (formally known as Twitter) that there are delays of two hours and around 10 miles of congestion.
It has urged motorist to allow extra time if travelling in the area or to find an alternative route if possible.
It is currently unknown whether if anyone is involved in the incident.
We have contacted Surrey Fire and Rescue and South East Coast Ambulance Service for further information.
The full AA statement says: "Severe delays and two lanes closed due to truck fire on M25 clockwise before J6 A22 (Godstone).
"Congestion to J5 M26, and on the A25 at Sundridge, Oxted and Godstone. The fire was around 01:30."
