Hundreds of people enjoyed a sun-filled village fair packed with entertainment on Saturday.
The annual Ewell Village Fair, held in the grounds of Glyn House, in Church Street, Ewell, attracted 800 visitors and raised £12,000 which will go towards St Mary’s Church, in Ewell, according to the event's organiser Harvey Morris.
The mayor of Epsom and Ewell, Councillor Colin Taylor, opened the fair, which was also attended by MP Chris Grayling, who picked the winner for the grand raffle draw.
Entertainment at the event included Morris dancing, a ‘beat the goalie’ competition with the Chelsea Football Club Foundation, live music, a Punch and Judy show, Five Farthing hand bell demonstrations, and a ‘guess the number of balloons inside the Mercedes Benz' competition for a chance to use the car for a weekend.
