Trains in the area including routes going through Clapham Junction and routes between Epsom and Raynes Park are delayed this morning due to a combination of signalling problems and emergency engineering works.
Platforms at Sutton station are packed as a result of the delays affecting commuters on both Southern and South West Trains routes.
Emergency engineering works at Motspur Park means trains between Raynes Park and Chessington South/Epsom are running around 20 minutes late.
South west Trains services affected are those going to London Waterloo, Wimbledon, Raynes Park, Motspur Park, Malden Manor, Tolworth, Chessington North and Chessington South/Worcester Park, Stoneleigh, Ewell West, Epsom and Guildford/Dorking.
A signalling problem is causing disruption at Clapham Junction and journey times between London Victoria and Balham have been extended by up to 15 minutes. The delays are largely affecting routes away from London.
Delays are being exacerbated by cancellations and delays on trains going to and from Watford Junction where there are problems with the overhead wires.
