A woman has been airlifted to hospital after she was knocked off her bike opposite Nonsuch Park, this morning.
The crash happened just yards away from where William Charles Buckingham, 21, was killed after being hit by car on London Road, Ewell, early on Saturday morning.
The collision involving a car and the cyclist happened around 7am, the woman's injuries are believed to be serious.
One local resident, close to where the accident happened, said: “This is the fourth time the road has been closed in as many days. The road has been repeatedly closed since Saturday.
“The helicopter came in this morning for an old woman who was hit by a car as she was cycling. It was spectacular seeing it land. It blew my fence down as it was hovering above the house.”
Surrey Police is appealing for witnesses following the crash.
Police said the incident involved a grey Audi A4 and a cyclist. South East Coast Ambulance and the air ambulance attended and took the female cyclist, believed to be in her 30s, to St Georges Hospital, Tooting, where her condition is described as serious.
Road closures were put in place on London Road at its junctions with Sparrow Farm Road and Briarwood Road. The roads remain closed while officers carry out their investigations.
