AFC Wimbledon manager Neal Ardley was a happy man after his team’s performance against Millwall on Saturday.
Lyle Taylor has the Dons ahead at the break with his fourth goal in two games, but with the Dons down to nine men, Millwall bagged a last-gasp leveler through Sid Nelson.
Both Callum Kennedy and Ade Azeez had to be withdrawn towards the end of the game through injury, although both were still expected to travel with the club to La Manga yesterday (Monday).
Ardley said: “I believe that if we had not gone down to nine mine, then we would have won the game.
“But we’ve played two teams that are above us in the leagues and we haven’t lost, so that’s really pleasing.”
He added: “Defensively we worked incredibly hard without the ball and I thought we had a good intensity to us.

“We’re looking for another defender if we can, but again we don’t just want to get any defender in, we want to get the right one and that’s proving difficult.“ “But compared to last season, we have been better physically, and we’ve had a bit more pace and power”.
The Dons training camp in La Mange ends with a match against Grenada CF on Saturday.
Ardley said: “We’ll have a little more team bonding, and we’ll get to spend some more time with them all and hopefully by the end we’ll be another stage further.”
