A FLUTE and harp duo will be performing for Ongar Music Club at its next concert evening, at the Budworth Hall, High Street, Ongar, on Friday.
Both performers, Rachel Hilser-Smith and Emma Ramsdale, grew up in Brighton and first met in the Brighton Youth Orchestra.
Rachel has also played flute in West End shows Beauty and the Beast and Phantom of the Opera.
She joined the Coldstream Guards as principal and will soon tour Japan.
She records for radio and films, for Music in Hospitals and will premiere a new concerto at Brighton Festival 2002.
Emma, who expensive harp was bought with help from the Countess of Munster Trust, the Abbado Foundation and the Musicians' Benevolent Fund, not only plays with major orchestras here and abroad, but is also resident harpist at Mayfair's Intercontinental Hotel, and frequently plays on cruise liners.
They will be playing works by Bizet, Rossini, Debussy, Ravel, and a host of others.
