DKM promotions brings An Audience with Paul Gascoigne to Clapham Grand this Thursday (May 17).
The icon of British football, affectionately known as Gazza, will speak in his own words about his life and career on and off the pitch.
Gazza made his name as a youngster with Newcastle United before securing a move to Tottenham Hotspur in 1988. His career took in spells at Lazio, Middlesbrough, Everton and Burnley as well as earning more than 50 caps for England.
It was with England at the World Cup of 1990 that Gazza was taken to the nation's hearts.
He put in a string of fine performances to help Bobby Robson's side reach the semi-finals against West Germany but a clumsy challenge saw him booked which meant he would miss the final. His tears would prove an enduring moment of the tournament.
Six years later and Gazza was back to his best, scoring a stunning goal in England's 2-0 win over Scotland at Wembley in the second game of Euro 96.
The Three Lions once again made it to the semi-finals where Gazza was agonisingly close to scoring the winner against Germany, but it was not to be as England bowed out on penalties once again.
There were, of course, so many other moments of magic and misery throughout Gazza's career.
Dont miss this great night of entertainment hearing stories and the tales from one of the country’s most colorful and much-loved players.
The evening will include a full interview with Paul, a Q &A, live entertainment, charity auction and an opportunity to have a professional photo with the one and only, Paul Gascoigne.
An Audience with Paul Gazza Gascoigne, the Clapham Grand, 21-25 St John’s Hill, Clapham, SW11 1TT, Thursday, May 17, 7pm. For more details visit claphamgrand.com or dkmpromotions.co.uk
