Sandown Park racecourse hosts the bet365 Ultimate Celebration later this month, where racegoers will be treated to a unique two-day racing event.

The second day of the meet signals the final furlong of the winter jump season and it is the only day in the sport where fans can enjoy both flat and jump racing.

As well as top-class racing, including the Gold Cup, on Saturday spectators will witness a celebration of the fantastic horse racing across the UK in the past eight months.

Champions will be recognised in a pre-racing awards ceremony, where the stars of the racing world take part in a glorious parade – one of the most popular events at Sandown Park, which will include the winners of top race meetings like the Grand National and the Cheltenham Festival.

The racecourse is also set to welcome Olympic show jumping gold medallist Nick Skelton and Paralympic hero and BBC Sports Personality of the Year nominee David Weir, to present awards to industry champions at the End of Season Awards, including jockey, trainer, horse and owner.

An exhibition celebrating the sport will also be on display for guests, providing an insight into the world of horse racing, including a horse simulator to try.

With a selection of top-class competitive races and recognition for champions throughout 2012-13, the Ultimate Celebration promises to be just that.
