Beatrix Potter, Swan Lake, La Traviata and a live screening from the National Theatre, all special events happening at Vue's Purley Way cinema this fortnight.
The fiesta kicks off on Thursday with Phèdre, a play taking place at the National Theatre in South Bank being filmed in high definition and broadcast live via satellite to over 200 venues around the world including Purley Way.
Starring Helen Mirren, Margaret Tyzack and Dominic Cooper, the screening of Jean Racine's play is the first of many from the theatre scheduled throughout the year as part of their NT Live programme.
Phèdre follows the tale of a woman consumed by an uncontrollable passion for her young stepson and believing her absent husband, to be dead, confesses her darkest desires.
When her husband returns alive and well, she accuses her stepson of rape.
On Sunday week, join Mrs Tiggy-Winkle, Peter Rabbit, Mr Jeremy Fisher and a host of other characters in charming one act ballet, The Tales of Beatrix Potter.
Filmed at the Royal Opera House in January 2008, the captivating performance brings to life the famous creatures from the fields and ponds of Potter's well-loved animal stories.
Two days later there will be a double showing of operas Swan Lake and La Traviata.
Perhaps the most famous ballet of all time, Anthony Dowell's production of Swan Lake for The Royal Ballet is legendary, and tells of Odette, a princess turned into a swan by an evil sorcerer's curse.
That begins at 2pm, while at 7pm the curtains will go up for a live performance of Verdi's most famous work, La Traviata, from the Royal Opera House.
The Great American soprano Renée Fleming takes on the role of doomed courtesan Violetta, with Joseph Calleja as her young lover Alfredo and Thomas Hampson as his unyielding father in The Royal Opera’s classic production.
