Balham's Hildreth Street will be transformed into a four hour non-stop live music extravaganza venue this Sunday as the first ever Balham Street Festival takes place.
With a dozen different acts from singer-songwriters to guitarists, all-girl dance groups to an Elvis impersonator and a secret grand finale guest, the afternoon will keep Balham residents well and truly entertained.
Promoter Fayon Cottrell, who organised the event alongside Rocco Buonvino, will be hosting festivities alongside Tony Moore, one of the early members of Iron Maiden and keyboard player for Cutting Crew, who had a massive hit with I Died in Your Arms Tonight in 1986.
Moore will open proceedings with his own set before being followed by all-singing all-dancing girl group The Ellements, who topped the dance charts with Walk Right Now in 2005 and have supported Blue, Faith Evans and Misteeq.
Singer-songwriter Ellen Miller has worked with top producers such as Phil Harding, Michael Henry and Matt Waddell, while Modeste Hugues can play both rhythm and lead guitar all at once, leaving audience members scanning the stage in search of a non-existent second guitar player.
Jamie Abbott's influences range from Dizzee Rascal through to Ray Lamontagne and piano playing Carrie Haber has been likened to Kate Bush and Tori Amos.
If the singer-songwriters are not your thing then look out for Kasai Masai, a band from Congo who will be playing ancestral music passed down from generation to generation, combined with percussion, chanting and the Congolese folk guitar.
Call Me Laura is a band fronted by Laura Critchley, who has been all over Radio Two in recent years and scored a top five hit in India last December having toured the country in an intense week of travelling.
14-year-old Ellie Rose will be enhancing her ever growing reputation, Italian guitarist Davide Senna will drift from folk to mediterranean to jazzy flavours and multi-talented performer Susan Black will showcase a diverse range of styles.
Before the big special guest, Lou Jordan will be on stage as Elvis. The impersonator impressed Don Johnson so much the Miami Vice star booked an entire night club to hear him sing.
The whole event will be broadcast live on the internet and later aired on the Sky TV Life Channel.
