Take one creepy mansion, decorate it with pumpkins, bats and blood, throw in a few hundred costumed revellers and plenty of good tunes and you have a recipe for a ghoulishly good Halloween Ball.

Sutton floorlayer Tony Perren, 30, spends his spare time organising club nights, mostly at Croydon's Loop Pool Bar, but after putting on more than 25 successful dance events he decided he was ready for the big one'.

His biggest event yet will take place at Nonsuch Mansion, in Cheam, from 8pm until 4am this Saturday.

"I have gone through all the proper channels to put this together, it isn't an illegal rave or anything like that," said Tony.

"I told the Nonsuch leaseholder exactly what I had planned, then got the necessary licences from the council and permission from the police.

"The only thing we won't be doing is fireworks. The whole party will be inside the building, no noise outside, just a lot of people having a lot of fun."

The entire mansion will be taken up by the party, transformed into a funky haunted house with three themed dancefloors - classic house in the Vampire Room, RnB in the Zombie Room and a Pumpkin Chill Out room.

"Holding the party in Nonsuch Mansion means that it won't take a leap of imagination to believe you are in a real haunted house, but we are going to town on the decorations to make sure it all looks great," said Tony.

"The Vampire Room will be decked out like a graveyard, while the Zombie Room will feature a massive zombie, standing 15 foot by eight foot.

"We will also have lots of cobwebs all over the place and loads of spooky pumpkins."

DJs on will include Squirrel, from Moondance, plus Jaquie Nanson, Chrissy T, Dave Minnett, Jezza and Tom McKenzie.

Full refreshments will be available throughout the night, with all drinks on the night included in the ticket price.

The only thing party goers will have to worry about is dressing to impress in Halloween costume, with the best outfit winning a £500 prize.

And if things go well, Tony has already put plans into place for a New Year's Eve bash at the same venue.

"That would be another themed event, with the idea to go right through into the following morning and end with a New Year's Day breakfast," said Tony.

"We also hope to branch out into other forms of music, with an Elvis night and a Motown evening in the pipeline."
