Experienced stand-up and former Southend United goalkeeper Terry Alderton is performing at Headliners at the George IV this Friday and Saturday. Alderton has appeared on our screens plenty of times, and recently filmed a series of internet sketches poking fun at professional Cockney Danny Dyer – but it is on stage where he really comes into his own. Alderton’s act mixes impressions, sharp improvisation and audience participation. Eddie Izzard said he has “a fantastic comic mind but really ought to seek professional help”. You have been warned! Other acts confirmed for the two nights, which kicks off at 9pm, include Shappi Khorsandi and Topping and Butch.
