Local pianist AARON MONTEVERDE, who will be performing at the Epsom Playhouse on Saturday 31 May, has taken some time out of his busy touring schedule recently to visit local schools to inspire the next generation of piano players.
St Martin’s Primary School and St Josephs RC Primary School in Epsom were visited by Aaron recently. He is also scheduled to pay visits to Wallace Fields and Danetree Schools in the next few weeks, all on his doorstep as he has recently moved to Epsom.
As a passionate advocate of music education, this is the third year Aaron has run a schools piano tour successfully in London and the South East, alongside his concert and recital schedule in the evenings. It's a vibrant, interactive and fun way of bringing music to tomorrow's generation of musicians and the response from pupils and teachers alike is phenomenal. Aaron gets mobbed by the kids wherever he goes, usually they want him to teach them how to play the piano backwards!
Aaron’s school visits inspire children to learn about working hard at something, staying focused and achieving a long-term goal when they hear him talking about his own music education. And they are particularly interested to hear that he was a finalist in the Spanish version of Britain’s Got Talent!
Tickets for Aaron’s Epsom Playhouse concert on Saturday 31 May are £12-£15 and are on sale now at: www.epsomplayhouse.co.uk or by ringing the Box Office on 01372 742555/742227.
