Some of south London's best music acts will be converging on the Grove Tavern this Sunday for an all day summer festival.

Parke Davis, Buffalo Kite, Dee James, Great Bear, Auger Bane, J.C.'s Flatline Junkies and the Laurence Penfold Band will be playing at the benefit show with all proceeds going to a fund to help Cerebral Palsy sufferer Charlie Ducker afford an update to his electric wheelchair.

"He's a big music fan but used to struggle to come to gigs," said organiser Bill Knox, who founded the Halfmoon in Putney's music nights.

"Five years ago we all got together and did a fundraiser to get him an electric wheelchair which cost £1,000 and now we are hoping to raise another £500 to help him update it to a state of the art one."

Dee James is a solo singer-songwriter who is also the bass player for Parke Davis, an indie-punk outfit that played Dublin Castle last month while Mitcham/Croydon rock band Auger Bane were at the Download Festival this weekend and are in the middle of recording their second album.
