He's had number ones with the Black Eyed Peas, performed a duet with Cheryl Cole and starred in the latest X-Men film, now Will.i.am is coming to Wandsworth.
The producer/rapper will be doing a live DJ set at Wandsworth Palais' Club W this Saturday, the night before the Black Eyed Peas perform a headline gig at Glastonbury Festival.
Alongside Fergie, Taboo and Apl.de.ap, Will.i.am has helped steer The Black Eyed Peas into one of the most popular groups in music, selling 18 million albums worldwide, winning three Grammy awards and recently topping the singles chart again with new release Boom Boom Pow.
On his own, he has established himself as one of music's top producers, collaborating on tracks with Justin Timberlake, John Legend, Kelis, Nas, The Game, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Sergio Mendes, Carlos Santana, The Pussycat Dolls, Busta Rhymes and of course Cole on Heartbreaker.
In his DJ set audiences can expect not just a hip-hop album but influences from European club sounds and house music, old-school soul and Brazilian Baile funk.
Once finished he will be staying on at the venue in the VIP room to host the night.
Will.i.am, Wandsworth Palais, Wandsworth High Street, June 27, 10pm, £15, over 18s only. Call 020 8875 7980 or visit wandsworthpalais.com.
