Fresh from their recent performance at The Royal Festival Hall, two gospel choirs and their band will be converging at St Boniface's Church in Tooting on Thursday week.

The Tooting Professional Centre Choir and the Southfields College Choir are both run by IGOSPEL, the UK's leading gospel music educator in the UK and together they will provide an evening of classic and contemporary gospel.

The event, sponsored by Wandsworth Council, Family Learning and Music Services, is being organised by the Tooting St Vincent de Paul Society charity to which all money raised will be given.

The society is an international Christian voluntary organization dedicated to tackling poverty and disadvantage and has branches in more than 100 countries.

The Tooting group, established two years ago, meet twice a month at the church and treasurer William Grobel said: “We are delighted to be hosting such a prestigious band and choirs as part of our local fundraising programme.

"The concert is set to be an exceptionally fun, lively and entertaining evening for everyone to enjoy."
