Eve Selis cannot get enough of the UK.

The American country pop singer is coming back for her third tour in the space of just 12 months having wowed crowds up and down the land twice last year, once with her band and once with her long-time guitar player and songwriting partner Marc 'Twang' Intravaia.

"I love coming over," says the 45-year-old.

"It was always a dream of mine to go over there and play music, even if it was just once, and I really enjoy it.

"The audiences are so focussed and it's quite touching to go so far and get people queuing up for our gigs.

"This tour is another duo one because the economy hit us really bad in America so everything has slowed down slightly and we have had to downsize a bit.

"We will be coming back next summer with the band though."

While Eve and Marc may not be performing with their band for the time being, it hasn't stopped them producing music.

"Because business is so slow we have done a lot more gigs as a duo in the last year than we have in the 18 years we have been writing together," she says.

"Because of that we decided to do a CD, called Ten, the songs from which will be featured in the tour.

"It came out really good but it is hard to mess up acoustic guitar and vocals."

Eve will be celebrating her birthday over here, something she has done for the last five years.

"I always wind my husband up because I end up going and buying a piece of jewellery," she says.

"He is back in San Diego so I ring him up and say thank you for the necklace or the ring and he says it was pleasure."
