Two highly acclaimed international artists will be at Fairfield Halls next Tuesday in a concert for voice and piano.
Baritone John Morgan and pianist Kim Colvill will perform a mix of well-known music by classical composers such as Mozart, Schubert, Grieg, Verdi and Tosti.
There will also be a few Neapolitan songs and the popular When I Fall in Love and Somewhere from Bernstein’s West Side Story.
Morgan is one of Britain’s finest and most exciting baritones and renowned for his big, strong, dark-timbred voice.
He has performed regularly at the Royal Opera House and sung for the Welsh National Opera as well as signing before members of the royal family, two prime ministers, various heads of state and in Hong Kong for Chris Patton.
Colvill is perhaps better known for her duo performances with her husband, international concert pianist Robin Colvill, but has performed at the Fairfield Halls on several occasions, as has Morgan with his quartet The Garden Consort.
