Two south London indie bands will be rocking The Watershed on Friday as club night Trust The Buzz comes to town.
The Inwits, who have just recorded a new three-track demo at Scream Studios in Croydon, and The Longfellows will be taking to the stage as part of the night born off the back of DJ Mark Lockett's university radio show.
The Libertine-esque Inwit boys have been together for over a year now and have been hitting the London gig circuit hard, blending raucous guitars with a 50s doo-wop swing and an educated songwriting background.
Singers James Bone and Joseph Quinn have known each other for more than 15 years and having studied English Literature at university, songwriting comes naturally to them.
Drummer Johnny Lewis joined the band when his old group, The Weapons, split up, while lead guitarist Stephen Walsh was found on Gumtree.
Their new demo includes songs about nights on the town when they were young and a tale of racism and narrow mindedness in the modern world.
The Longfellows formed in 2007 with originally only Alfie Sharman and Douglas Ayres as members before guitarist Joe Grainger, bass player Patrick Roberts and drummer Ben Bell joined the mix.
Already this year they have headlined the Halfmoon in Putney, Camden's Bull & Gate and The Spice of Life in Soho.
