Keith James and Rick Foot will perform a challenging and demonstrably personal collection of shows this autumn to celebrate the music of the late John Martyn.
Martyn, who passed away at the start of the year after suffering double pneumonia, was a British singer-songwriter who worked with artists including David Gilmour, Phil Collins and Eric Clapton and was described by many as an electrifying guitarist.
Keith and Rick, who have performed extensive concert tours across the UK, were approached by countless fans of their work and John’s, to play some concerts of John’s music.
Over the past seven years, the duo have gained substantial praise for bringing the fragile and beautiful music of Nick Drake into a live Theatre context.
With more than 500 concerts, festivals and an appearance at Glastonbury they have re-created the brilliance of one of the Country's most cherished singer-songwriters.
James is a songwriter and musician with an extremely devoted and considered approach, who, after years on the fringe is gaining an ever growing and much deserved following.
Foot is one of the most talented double bass players the country has ever heard and together they produce inspirational music worthy of performing in memory of the great John Martyn.
