London Mozart Players' new association with Trinity School has proved such a popular idea that their first concert together has already sold out.
Croydon's resident orchestra, who this week announced free tickets for U18s for their entire winter season, are performing their first concert alongside the schools' choir next Wednesday in the first of a number of collaborations between the two.
The program includes Rutter's Te Deum, Vivaldi's Concerto for Two Cellos in G minor and Orff's Carmina Burana with artists involved being soprano Katharine Fuge, countertenor James Bowman, baritone Richard Morrison and cellists Daniel Benn and Alexander Leadbeater.
The next collaboration between the two is scheduled for December so get in quick to get tickets before they sell out again.
As for the rest of the LMP's season there will be familiar and new faces performing alongside the orchestra.
Fairfield Halls' favourites Howard Shelley and Sir James Galway both celebrate special birthdays with the orchestra, while David Stern, Joseph Swensen and Gérard Korsten all return to Croydon, conducting symphonies by Beethoven, Mozart, Schubert and Dvořák.
Young conductor Jakub Hrusa makes his debut with the LMP in April.
