The fickle finger of fame may have stopped pointing their way long ago but The Dualers certainly have not lost any of their enthusiasm for music.

A week on Saturday, Si and Tyber Cranstoun are back on stage together at Kingsmeadow Live playing to the hardcore set of fans that stuck with them before, during and after the media hype of six years ago.

Back then, they were thrust into the spotlight as the busking brothers who scored two top 30 singles on the strength and support alone of those that had heard them on the streets of south London.

"We had the little light shine on us but it turned out to be a candle and the wind blew it out," says Si.

"We are still going strong though but it is not easy, labels are crumbling around us as we speak.

"People are still buying our CDs though and we enjoy what we do.

"We love it when we play in the street as we are working class boys and love mucking around with people of all different classes, creeds and ages.

"If we can raise a smile to a passer-by it's a wonderful thing."

Si has been off working on his own solo material of late - his debut single, Dynamo, was released on Monday - while Tyber has been dealing with all things Dualers related.

"My brother has been in charge of the Dualers for the last year or so, sorting all that out and getting his head in the right place with what he is creating," says Si.

"There's an idea we are going to release a single in Spring next year and there's another big Indigo date in April.

"It's extraordinary what happened to us - we have busked with Tony Blair and played concerts throughout Europe and even have a big following in America.

"Ten years ago we were in the street playing to playback records from the studio and doing Christmas parties and gradually building up a fan-base.

"We thought then about putting a single out to see if we could get enough interest to enter the charts and it reached 21.

"We were in the news and there were all these door knocks from people in the industry."
