The Band Project is the chance for your kids to see if they really can hack it as a pop star when a new rock school opens this summer.
The project lets children from eight to 16 years old live the fantsasy by forming and performing in their own live band with a rock course launching this summer with a week of music from August 8.
Held at the Scream Studios in Croydon's South End, the course which costs £200 for the week is run by Chris Mountford.
He said: "I am so excited to be launching groups in Croydon, the opportunity to offer our inspiring and unique music education to kids in the area is a great thing to be able to do and I really cannot wait to see what talent Croydon has to offer."
For 8 - 10 year olds, there’s The Band Project Juniors - a great introduction to play an instrument in a group, trying new instruments, meeting new friends, learning new styles of music and games.
For 11 - 16 year olds, there’s The Band Project - five days of learning songs, what makes a good live performance, how to play in a band, meeting new friends and to be inspired about music.
For both groups, the week ends with a showcase for friends and family - a great focus for the students and a chance for parents to see what their children have been up to.
Dates: August 8 - August 12 Location: Scream Studios, Croydon Cost: £200 - an amazing £6.66 per hour More information at www.thebandproject.co.uk
