If you like musicals and you love chocolate then Credit Crunchie the Musical should be right up your street.
Described as a chocolate-coated farce of sex, revenge and pure unadulterated greed, the musical is the second to be written by Graveney councillor Linda Kirby for the festival following on from last year's success Under the Knife.
Performed by Flippin' Eck productions and featuring a number of jazz numbers, you'll get your fair share of the sweet stuff too.
"There's a lot of chocolate," says Linda.
"I'm going to have a chocolate fountain there as well for those in the audience that need reviving during the break.
"We might have to buy some Crunchies to give away too and the cast are asking for some real chocolate to eat during the performance.
"The play is about the credit crunch and a private equity trader whose lover leaves him and goes off with the owner of a chocolate company.
"To get his revenge he tries to undermine the chocolate market by buying into the industry and ends up bringing the whole thing down and there are riots on the streets.
"I like to do stuff that is topical as you get an audience then and chocolate is definitely something a large number of people can link in to, as is the credit crunch."
Linda, who is also a member of Mitcham writer's group Lavender Scibblers, was also adamant that as many people as possible should get out to see some part of Abbeyfest, especially with the lack of Cannizaro this year.
"My heart is in it as I believe in having cultural events in the borough," she says.
"Peter Wallder the organiser is a rock, he makes this whole thing happen and it's just absolutely brilliant and I want to raise the profile of Abbeyfest as much as I can throughout the borough."
