An exciting, fresh updated stage production is in town featuring carnival arts, new music, dance and choreography.
The exotic musical presentation features a large cast of the most outstanding musicians and dancers mixing the greatest carnival cultures in the world. Brazil and Trinidad are brought together in this musical capturing the great party spirit and vivacity of street carnival theatre.
The show promises a display of colour, music and over 200 stunning costumes created by, the late Wayne Berkeley.
Carnival's premier designer for many years, Berkeley has changed the face of carnival with his originality and creation of fantasy costumes. His amazing shapes and fabrics and the boundless energy of the striking carnival dancers are more than enhanced by the skill of such internationally renowned musicians.
The Djembbe Drummers and the special sounds of the Trinidad Steel Band will be appearing, alongside The Caribbean All Stars Orchestra who are at the forefront of Calypso but are equally expert at playing the infectious Latin rhythms of South America and the vibrant music of Soca, a combination of calypso and other Indian inspired music.
The composers and arrangers of the Trinidad Steel Band have combined their traditional musical influences into a fusion of new songs, which have captivated audiences around the world.
