David Allan David Guy Charles, aged 91, peacefully at home after a long illness. Funeral service at All Hallows Church, Twickenham, on Tuesday, 7th February at 2.30pm, followed by private cremation.

The trustees of FORCE (Friends Of the River Crane Environment) were saddened to hear of David's passing.
David became a member of FORCE soon after its founding in 2003 and made several donations to the organisation. He remained a member until just over a year ago.
David always took an interest in the activities of FORCE and delivered an interesting talk on the history of the Crane to the AGM some years ago.

I shall miss my friend and neighbour David who taught me so much. I was constantly surprised by his amazing memory for historical detail and the way that he kept working at an advanced age.
It was a pleasure to help him with some of the everyday problems that arose as he was always so very appreciative. I was particularly pleased to help in a very small way with his last publication 'The Coloured Mass' and David's kind reference to my contribution in the final work made me feel very proud.
