It seems rather hypocritical of Labour councillors to criticise a proposal to build on the Brigstock Road site when they allowed building in Beulah Hill (Concerns over crowded north, Croydon Guardian, October 25).
Queen Mary Road is already far too congested with parked cars, yet exactly opposite 28 homes have been shoe-horned into the space where one home stood before.
As the population grows more homes will have to be built, bringing problems such as this year's water shortage.
