Former British international Mark Easton set a record which is unlikely to be broken for many years when he won the annual Surrey Walking Club Addington seven-mile race for the 25th consecutive year in a row.
Easton finished in 55 minutes and 36 seconds which was more than 10 minutes ahead of Steyning AC's Ron Penfold (65min 47sec).
Penfold managed to pull away from Ian Statter of Old Coulsdon, who finished in 66min 19sec to hold off Belgrave Harrier Paul King (66min 48sec) for third place.
The Alec Potton Handicap Shield was a closely fought affair with only 72 second covering the top six places.
Peter Hannell came out on top with a fast race time of 66min 54sec giving him the quickest net handicap of 54min 24sec.
