Purley John Fisher went four points clear at the top of the London three South East league on Saturday after victory away to Folkestone.
This status was further enhanced by the results to the sides immediately below them.
Despite Chichester's loss PJF, along with Deal/Betteshanger and Tonbridge Juddians, form a formidable chasing pack.
PJF toughed it out in this match with points from Sorrel, conversion and penalty, and a try by captain Kerr.
The side did well to win as injuries played a major part in selection.
PJF entertain Tonbridge Juddians this Saturday.
l PJF's second 15 lost their merit match against Chobham 25-5.
A try by Lello was reward for a good effort by an under-strength side.
