A choir of Games Makers are keeping the Olympic spirit alive by setting their hopes on Christmas Number One.
Two woman from Ewell and Fetcham Village, near Leatherhead, are part of the choir which has recorded a song with musician Alistair Griffin.
The single I Wish for You the World is being released on December 16 after the group first came together at the Olympic Park during the summer.
Jackie Ghaharian, 53, from Ewell, said she saw an article by choir founder Victoria Verbi in a daily newsletter while she was a Games Maker.
Ms Ghaharian said: "I always hoped the choir would continue but never dreamed it would open doors to once in a lifetime experiences."
She said the choir gave her more confidence, new friends, a feeling of positivity and the chance to raise money for charity.
She said: "It is a privilege to be a member of the choir and to continue to spread the Games Maker spirit to people through song.
"I enjoy singing with a group of people who share the same passion and I am thrilled that I can be a part of the legacy of London 2012."
Linda Tippelt, 55, from Fetcham, said she felt excited to be part of a choir that is now releasing a single.
Ms Tippelt said: "The Olympics is something that I was passionate about because I have played sport all my life.
"I didn’t expect it to take a turn toward singing, which is lovely because music is my other great interest."
Proceeds from the single go to the British Olympic Foundation and British Paralympic Association to support aspiring young sportspeople.
