A Croydon MP has been working with various organisations to collect food for those in need this Christmas.
Gavin Barwell, MP for Croydon Central, joined forces with the Croydon Food Network and Croydon Council to collect food donations.
The aim is to gather enough food to provide identified families with 12 days worth of food.
Mr Barwell said: “We have a moral obligation to care for those less well-off than ourselves that cannot be discharged simply by paying taxes.
“That’s why I’m supporting the Croydon Food Network and their Christmas campaign to collect as much food as possible to support those families in our borough that are most in need.”
Food donations can be left at Gavin Barwell’s office, 133 Wickham Road, Shirley. It is open 9am to 5pm on Monday to Friday.
