A couple who raised £4,800 for a cancer charity by putting up Christmas lights and decorations have thanked friends, family and supporters for their help.
The display, which included a mini cable car to take donations up to the roof, was switched on by entertainer Lionel Blair last month.
Harvey and Deborah Preston, who live in Walsingham Gardens, Stoneleigh, thanked all the people who helped to raise donations for the Royal Marsden, from friends and family who created the display to the Epsom Guardian for its coverage.
Mrs Preston said: "We are really chuffed because last year we did £3,700.
"It’s all down now and fairly back to normal.
"I can actually see daylight in my house. It’s sad when you are taking it down but nice to have your house back."
Their most recent fundraising drive comes on top of the more than £20,000 they have raised for the hospital over the previous seven years.
