How much longer and how much worse will the traffic get through Worcester Park before the council addresses the problem of the Green Lane lights?
There are now queues as early as 6.30am down Central Road as drivers try desperately to beat the gridlock which seems to get earlier and earlier as a result. Soon there will be traffic jams at 5.30am.
There seems to be something inherently wrong with Worcester Park's traffic planning, as once finally past Worcester Park my journey takes me to New Malden which is still free-flowing and quiet at 7am (as it should be), and even that traffic blackspot' Kingston is free-flowing and relatively quiet at 7.15am (bar any roadworks).
I believe it is time Worcester Park residents started to strongly lobby the council and MPs to tackle this problem and demand the removal of the Green Lane traffic lights, as this problem will continually worsen in the future.
