If your garden could scrub up on its eco-principles such as recycling and effective use of energy or know of one that does, UKTV Style Gardens wants to hear from you. A new TV series to transform gardens from eco-catastrophes to eco-friendly spaces is being filmed in the south-east from January to May next year.

If your garden could do with some help, send an email with your name, phone number and address to greengardens@reeftv.com or write to Reef Television, 8 Upper St Martin's Lane, London, WC2H 9DL. Also include photos and dimensions of your garden and details about why it is an eco-disaster, and suggestions about what could help you make an eco-beautiful garden.

Homeowners in the south-east of England cited water efficiencies as one of the most important environmental measures in a survey commissioned by US charity Save the Rain in association with British Water.

The survey found 77 per cent of those in the south east never left the tap running when brushing their teeth and 97 per cent believed collecting rainwater was a good thing.
