For over 80 years, St. Helier has been a dominant force in healthcare for the London Borough of Sutton along with its close community. In the last year alone it has seen several thousand patients and seen 3,317 new life's brought into the world. Under BSBV (Better Services Better Value) plans, it will see the loss of three crucial units that provide support to those in emergencies, new births, and the children's ward, each of which play an extensive part in saving the lives of countless people.

As a community, I see it as our duty to show our support and continue an already successful campaign in keeping these units open and to not give up until our voices are heard and these critical parts of the hospital are kept open, so that many generations have the ability to have the fantastic health care and support from these wards which we have had the privilege to experience.

In our campaign to save St. Helier, we have seen already two postponements in them shutting the hospital wards, and with continuing support from you, the community, we can see these wards remaining open after a final broadcast on their decision, from the unelected BSBV panel.

At Carshalton Boys Sports College, we have already pushed for the hospital to remain open in just a few months of campaigning to our local MP, Tom Brake, the government and the BSBV board and with your support along side us, we ask you, as residents of the area, to assist in helping us to keep A&E, Maternity Ward, and Children's Ward, open for years to come.
