A 12-year-old girl suffered head injuries after being hit by a car near a school this afternoon.
A silver Vauxhall Corsa car hit the girl in Longmead Road, Epsom, at 3.30pm and she was treated there before being rushed to the specialist trauma centre at St George's Hospital in Tooting.
A South East Coast Ambulance Service spokesman said: "She was consious but she suffered a head injury and an injury to her knee."
He said three ambulances and a car attended the scene and a second person was also taken to Epsom Hospital to be checked over.
Longmead Road, where Blenheim High School is located, remains closed while emergency crews attend the scene.
The girl's injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
