A grandads club is trying to shake off its elderly image and is aiming to attract new younger members.
The North Cheam Granddads Club, or NCGC as it prefers to be called, meets every Friday afternoon behind the Scout Hall on Stonecot Hill, North Cheam.
Unless the group can encourage new faces along, current members may face a hike in the current £3 monthly subscription fee.
Roger Bowers, former chairman and treasurer of the group, said £3 a month is a bargain. He said: "Where else can you get a cup of tea and biscuits for £3 a month?"
"We do all manor of things, people like to play pool, chess, cards, and sometimes dominoes. People just like to come and chat."
The group, which meets between 12pm and 4pm every Friday at St Cecilia's Church, even organise coach trips.
Mr Bowers said: "We do four trips a year and they are always well attended, we usually go to the coast."
Interested new members should attend on Friday afternoons.
