Halifax bank in Epsom will be moving into The Ashley Centre on April 23, taking over the empty Clintons shop.

A spokeswoman for the centre said Halifax decided to move from the high street as the new site will be bigger, offer better facilities and be more accessible.

David Beddows, the centre's manager, said: "This shows yet more investment into Epsom following several new lettings over the last 18 months.

"It’s important that we are able to meet all the needs of our visitors and Halifax in the heart of The Ashley Centre means a new and improved service offering for our customers.

"This major company moving in shows a confidence in the centre that will help us further improve the customer experience."
