The normally affable Mayor of Wandsworth cut a menacing figure as he chatted to two Territorial Army officers while brandishing a semi-automatic rifle last week.
Councillor Adrian Knowles was speaking to Corporal Herdrick Agyapong and Fusilier Moukhtar Adamu at an awards ceremony at the Balham Territorial Army Centre in Balham High Road on February 5.
The Mayor, who praised the soldier's bravery, was one of a number of guests including Battersea MP Jane Ellison and Tooting MP Sadiq Khan.
