From the article (Hospital in need of drastic care, February 6) it is becoming more and more apparent that there is little care for maternity services.
With the impending closure of St Helier maternity unit, and the damning reports and stories regarding the CUH, where are pregnant women going to be assured of a safe and positive birth experience?
I understand that the 2000+ births per annum from St Helier are to be redistributed to CUH and Kingston. How in earth will these already busy departments possible cope with these extra numbers?
At this most testing time in your life, you shouldn't need to be worrying about the likelihood of midwife attention and staff with enough time to give new mums the care they need.
