This is the leaked document showing the options a healthcare review is considering as part of its plans to axe frontline services in the region - scorecard.pdf
On Monday an “expert panel” of eight people from the Better Services Better Value review (BSBV) met to score these options and today a panel of 21 patient representatives, GPs and clinicians will review their scores.
Any options which are not deemed to be financially viable have already been ruled out by BSBV – which is being carried out for a second time to include Epsom hospital.
Despite doing so last time, BSBV is not going to announce the outcome of the scoring panel until the programme board makes a recommendation to the Joint Committee of Primary Care Trusts as to which option should go to consultation on February 21.
The programme board will also consider a financial appraisal along with the results of the scoring review.
